Škoda launches Karoq 130 Years Edition

AS PART OF THE BRAND’S 130-YEAR celebration, Škoda is introducing the Karoq 130 Years Edition, launching in September 2025 at $48,990 (plus on road costs) and bringing a wide range of specification inclusions.

The Karoq 130 Years Edition shares the Karoq Select’s and Sportline’s 110kW, 250Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, offering exceptional fuel consumption and one of the highest torque figures among two-wheel drive medium SUVs.

Headlining the exterior changes over the Karoq Select are 19-inch Sagitarius alloy wheels in a silver finish, tinted rear and rear side windows, chrome roof rails and window surrounds, matrix LED headlights (low/high beam) with dynamic cornering, all weather lights function, power tailgate with Virtual Pedal, power-folding side mirrors with memory feature, keyless entry, and a unique “130 Years” special edition badge on tailgate.

Inside, the Karoq 130 Years Edition continues to combine luxury features usually reserved for a Karoq Sportline with its optional Signature Pack, including a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, wireless phone charging, a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit, CANTON sound system with 10 speakers and DAB+ digital radio, SUITE leather-appointed seat trim, heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, power-adjusting front seats (including lumbar) with memory, heated front and rear outboard seats, push button start, auto-dimming rear view mirror and LED ambient interior lighting.

Škoda’s leading Travel Assist (which incorporates adaptive cruise control, Adaptive Lane Assist and Emergency Assist), Front Assist with Collision Avoidance Assist, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, and seven airbags are also standard for added peace of mind.

Also included in the Karoq 130 Years Edition are those clever solutions that make a Škoda a Škoda, such as a cargo net for the boot, dividers for the luggage compartment, double-sided luggage compartment floor and a waste bin in the front door pocket.

Four colours will be offered from launch on the Karoq 130 Years Edition: Moon White metallic, Graphite Grey metallic, Race Blue metallic, and Black Magic pearlescent.

Škoda Australia Product Manager, Glenn Reid, said the Karoq 130 Years Edition perfectly complements the 130 Years Edition of its battery electric vehicle (BEV) sister product, the forthcoming Elroq, with its premium specification inclusions and distinctive looks.

“The Karoq 130 Years Edition, alongside the forthcoming Elroq 130 Years Edition, celebrates Škoda’s long and rich history with a car that showcases just how far the brand has come since it made its first Škoda bicycle in 1895. From those humble beginnings now comes a family SUV that’s cleverly packaged, generously equipped and designed with a restrained, European elegance that can stand the test of time,” Mr. Reid said.

“Add to that the reassurance of Škoda’s seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty – unique amongst European brands – Škoda Choice Guaranteed Future Value, and affordable servicing, and there has never been a better opportunity to discover what makes the Karoq the smart choice in its segment.”

The Karoq 130 Years Edition is available to order now from Škoda dealers, with customer deliveries commencing in September 2025.
