Mazda joins the move to longer warranties.

LONGER WARRANTIES ARE steadily being introduced and the latest to join the party is Mazda.

As of August 1, all new Mazda vehicles sold in Australia will be covered by a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.

“The new warranty will give customers another reason to choose Mazda,” said managing director of Mazda Australia, Vinesh Bhindi.

We can thank the Koreans for the move to longer warranties, especially Kia. To date, no other car company has been so bold as to announce a warranty that matches Kia’s 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty, although some companies have offered a similar warranty as a special incentive on specific models, and for a limited period.

It is worth noting that purchasers are also covered by the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law.
