Citroën now taking expressions of interest in C5 Aircross Sport

THE FACELIFTED CITROËN C5 AIRCROSS SPORT is anticipated to arrive in Australian showrooms later in 2023.

Available in a single, highly-specified Sport variant, the C5 Aircross Sport offers customers an upgraded engine and transmission combination alongside additional features included as standard.

Amongst the comprehensive list of upgrades is the new engine and transmission combination, with the C5 Aircross Sport now featuring a 133kW 1.6L Turbo Petrol PureTech engine paired with the EAT8 or 8-speed efficient automatic transmission, compared to the previous model’s 121kW engine and 6-speed automatic transmission.

An elevated design

Visually larger, C5 Aircross Sport introduces a new design language in which curves give way to more structured lines. The styling of the front end has had a facelift including a new interpretation of the Brand chevrons to become more modern.

In addition, several new style elements on the side panels enhance its elegance and modernity including:

  • Panoramic sunroof as standard
  • The updated grille houses the new main projector LED vision, finished in glossy black
  • New dual daytime running light signature with LED indicator
  • New functional air curtain
  • New skid plate and hot stamping animation
  • New rear taillights
  • New stylish Black Pack featuring:
    • 19-inch black alloy wheels
    • Glossy black door/side mirror shell
    • Matte black roof rails
    • Black roof
    • Black colour pack (Airbumps and fog light surrounds)

Furthermore, colours and materials have been refined, with this choice of premium materials reflecting greater comfort and quality. The seats wear a new Paloma Nappa1 leather perforated trim, the armrests and the central console are made of a new black leather effect fabric and the dashboard, of a new structured black leather effect insert. The interior trim features high-end finishes with a subtle blend between the new perforated Paloma leather with blue Nappa1 leather headrest and seat shoulder accents.

Updated interior style features include:

  • Upgraded 10-inch infotainment touchscreen (previously 8-inch)
  • New Hype Black interior, which features blue highlights, with new black Nappa1 leather trim, including perforated Nappa1 leather seats
  • Blue stitching incorporated into the dash, door and central armrest, and centre console
  • Heated front row seats
  • Driver’s massage function and electrically adjusted seat

New central console

The central console, high and large, has been modernised with a black leather-effect-fabric enhanced by chrome design lines which underline a more ergonomic layout of controls, including:

  • a new, elegant hi-tech e-Toggle style gear selector
  • a new driving mode selection button incorporating the Grip Control function.

The central console also integrates a large storage area and regroups connectivity with 2 USB-ports and a wireless charger.

Safety and assistance technologies

C5 Aircross Sport offers a wide range of latest-generation technologies to improve its occupants’ comfort and safety every day. These include Highway Driver Assist, a level 2 autonomous driving system, combining Adaptive Cruise Control with a Stop & Go function and the Active Lane Departure Warning system.
Additional safety features, as standard, include:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking
  • Blind spot detection
  • Speed limit recognition and recommendation
  • Grip Control terrain management system with hill descent assist
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
