Joie de vivre is Renault’s limited edition Koleos

RENAULT HAS JOINED THE PARTY with limited edition releases by announcing its Koleos Black Edition.

Launched on the winter solstice, the new Renault Koleos Black Edition is based on the Zen specification and adds a host of style-stealing accessories, including 19-inch dark grey alloy wheels, gloss black roof rails and door mirrors, side steps, paints and distinctive gloss black interior trim.

The vehicle is available in three exterior colors – Grey, Black or Universal White – with all three metallic paints included in the price.

The Koleos Black Edition adds more than $3000 in extra equipment (Renault figures), but is available for just $36,990 drive away – an increase of only $1000 on the standard Koleos Zen.

“We redefined value with the launch of the new Koleos. Now we are adding a new level of joie de vivre with the Black Edition,” said Renault Australia Managing Director Anouk Poelmann.

“We have added some black magic to our range and our dealers are already filling the order books. Any customer interested in Australia’s best value medium SUV should act quickly.”

The Black Edition builds on the Koleos’ inherent elegance and muscular style, exemplified by the imposing front grille, chrome inserts and Renault’s signature C-shaped LED lights.

Like every model in the Koleos line-up, the new Black Edition comes standard with a raft of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS Inter-Urban), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Rear View Camera, Blind Spot Warning and parking sensors front and rear.

The Koleos Black Edition also includes a 7-inch multimedia touch screen equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In addition to the unlimited kilometre seven-year warranty, Koleos comes with five years capped price servicing (up to 150,000km) and up to five years service-activated roadside assist.

The Koleos’ class-leading service intervals of up to 30,000 km or 12 month (whichever comes first) allows up to 150,000 km of driving over the first five years of ownership for some customers, improving the value proposition for Koleos owners.
