Mazda now taking orders for new MX-30 Electric

WITH PRICING AND SPECIFICATION CONFIRMED, Australian consumers can now pre-order Mazda’s first-ever electric vehicle.

Promising SUV coupe style, class-leading dynamics, a premium quality interior, an impressive list of standard features and a five-star 2020 ANCAP safety rating, Mazda MX-30 Electric will be sold and serviced through a comprehensive network of 100 Mazda dealers across Australia.

We’re still not convinced about the styling, but make your own mind up

To be among the first to own a Mazda MX-30 Electric, customers should register their pre-order on mazda.com.au to access the initial release of 100 models. Deliveries of MX-30 Electric will start in August.

Mazda’s first-ever EV is also part of Mazda Finance’s Mazda Assured product. Offered over one to four-year loan terms, Mazda Assured provides a Guaranteed Future Value and lower monthly repayments and gives owners the option of trading-in, keeping or returning their vehicle at the end of the loan term.

The MX-30 Electric is Mazda’s first all-electric car

Mazda MX-30 Electric will be available in top-specification Astina grade and is priced from $65,490 (plus on road costs). Comprehensively equipped, it boasts 18-inch alloy wheels, 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, windscreen heads up display, 360-degree camera, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and an exhaustive suite of safety tech that includes 10 airbags and front cross-traffic support.

Noteworthy is that the price of $65,490 puts the Mazda CX-30 under the $68,740 price cap for the proposed Victorian EV subsidy of $3000.

“The first-ever MX-30 Electric is a bold statement for the brand as Mazda enters its second century of operations,” said Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi.

“We have welcomed the Mazda MX-30 M Hybrid to the Australian market, where it has been welcomed and highly praised for its cutting-edge design, intelligent materials and strong safety attributes.

“The MX-30 Electric is Mazda’s first-ever pure electric vehicle, building on the benefits of the M Hybrid to deliver a zero emissions driving experience.

“It also proves that you can have a sustainable drive while retaining the fun behind the wheel and unique driver connection that Mazda is renowned for,” he said.
